Job Description BAE Systems, a top 10 prime contractor to the
U.S. Department of Defense, enables the U.S. government to
transform data into intelligence and provides engineering,
integration, and sustainment support for critical military
platforms and systems. Intelligence & Security provides services
and products to the Department of Defense, the government, federal
law enforcement officials, and troops deployed around the world.The
Data Governance Specialist will support the Customer with planning
and programmatic activities, including IT portfolio management, IT
governance, and IT performance management, governance boards, and
forums. The chosen candidate will work in coordination with the
Customer to evolve strategy framework, strategy execution, and
collaboration (priorities) with all elements of the Customer office
supported to drive accountability, consistency, and
transparency.The Data Governance Specialist is also expected to do
be responsible for the following:
- Develop, implements, and administer policies and procedures to
ensure the quality and protection of data within the organization
to minimize risk to the organization.
- Conduct data profiling and analysis to identify data quality
issues, anomalies, and inconsistencies.
- Support the implementation of data governance tools and
technologies, such as data cataloging tools, metadata management
tools, and data quality tools.
- Develop and maintain data governance documentation, prepare
reports on data governance activities, and present findings and
recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and
standards.
- Assist in conducting data governance audits and
assessments.Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Previous work experience within the Intelligence Community
- Five or more years of direct IT governance experience
- Understanding of configuration management systems (e.g., Git,
Ansible) and concepts behind mass configuration
- Collaborate with other IT disciplines (Storage, Platform,
Middleware and Application) to troubleshoot and resolve complex
problemsPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Understanding of server hardware from major vendors like HP,
including and related technologies including: CPU performance,
RAID, iLO, bare-metal restores, backup methodologiesPay
InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $146670 - $249330Please note:
This range is based on our market pay structures. However,
individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors
including, but not limited to: business considerations, local
market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate
qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. Employee
