Job Description BAE Systems is seeking a Subject Matter Expert
on object-based intelligence and ontology governance to support our
government customer. The selected applicants will join the team as
we seek to deliver world-class capabilities for our client and
their associated contractors, driving productivity and innovation.
This team works with real-time data and create tools using
cutting-edge visualization, development, and analytic technologies.
Our staff provides full product lifecycle support for a large suite
of multiplatform tools, environments, and microservices. These
services support every aspect of the intelligence lifecycle
including collection management, data aggregation, transformation,
and enrichment, knowledge management, object-based production, and
production creation and dissemination.We utilize best practices in
data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, software
engineering, data analytics, systems administration, and
cybersecurity. Our team will lead in providing the next generation
of capabilities planning and continuous integration of new and
emerging technologies.This position will include the following
duties and responsibilities:What you will do (day in the life):
- Interacts with customers, Program Managers and other
development teams to gather, analyze and define requirements
develop object-based intelligence tradecraft and intelligence
standards to satisfy the client needs
- Team with a focus on developing the tradecraft necessary to
implement OBI within the Defense Intelligence Enterprise
- Develops, maintains, supports and enhances complex and diverse
software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel
algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets,
real-time systems, and business management information systems)
based upon documented requirements
- Follows a formal design process using formal specifications,
data flow diagrams, and adheres to laws, standards, and established
guidelines for development and delivery of software and web
applications
- Designs and develops adaptive, intuitive, robust schemas
aligned to anaytic modernization goals.
- Develops and maintains governance policies and technical
documentation to assist with intra- and inter-agency
implementation.
- Recommends new standards and processes for complex ontologies
to ensure customer requirements are addressed.
- Analyzes and troubleshoots extremely complex software problems
and provides solutions using the latest technologies.#IJSRequired
Education, Experience, & Skills Required Education:
- Bachelors Degree with at least 19 years of relevant experience
(advanced degrees can count in lieu of some relevant experience).
Required Credentials:
- Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph
- Active Security+ Certification or DoD 8140/8570 compliant IAT
Level II certificationRequired Experience:
- Experience in assessing complex data analytic data sets.
- Experience in Jira/Confluence using Agile/SCRUM methodologies
and Kanban
- Should have a working knowledge of data loading and
ingestion.
- Data standardization and normalization of legacy data
source
- Familiarity with extracting implementation measurements and
interaction requirements from designs
- Technical understanding of big data concepts, cloud
technologies such as AWS and Oracle.
- Strong trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to work in a collaborative work environment.
- Enthusiastic about teamwork, comprehensive automated tests, and
collective code ownership
- Generally recognized as a leader in the industry in their area
of expertise; sought out by others in the area of expertise for
advice and guidance
- Provide expert support, analysis, research, and advice into
exceptionally complex problems, and processes relating to the
subject matter
- Serve as technical expert on executive-level project teams
providing technical direction, interpretation and alternatives.
Expertise is in a particular area of Information Technology (e.g.,
Cybersecurity, Information Systems Architecture, Telecommunications
Systems Design, Architecture, Implementation, Information Systems
Integration, Software Development Methodologies, Security
Engineering, Communications and Network Systems Management).
- Perform highly specialized and technical tasks associated with
the most current and cutting-edge technologies
- May serve as a technical consultant to a project or a number
projects dealing with area of technical experts.
- Coordinate with contract management and Government personnel to
ensure the problems have been properly defined and the solutions
satisfy customer needsPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Experience with OBI/OBP
- Experience with data ontology and governance
- Experience interfacing and briefing government customers at all
levels
- 2+ years data standardization and ETL of legacy data and
definition of standards.Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range:
$140690 - $239140Please note: This range is based on our market pay
structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a
variety of factors including, but not limited to: business
considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as
well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and
