• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, & NIHSS are required

  • Specialty: ER - Level IV Trauma Center
  • Trauma Center Capacity: 18-Beds ER with the capacity to go up to 21-Beds using hall beds
  • Patient Volume: Approximately 60 patients/day since COVID (Pre-COVID was 90 patients/day)
  • Common Diagnoses: Typical ER patients include those with CHF, COPD, DM, 10% are pediatric, and cases of heroin OD
  • EMR: EPIC - Previous EPIC experience required for travelers
    • Job Requirements
    • ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS, PALS (AHA), TNCC certifications required
    • Strong IV skills necessary
    • RN's expected to read, monitor, & treat dysrhythmias
    • RN's draw their own labs unless a difficult stick
    • Travelers must initiate & titrate all drips except Chemo
      • Schedule Information
      • 12-hour shifts with start times: 7am, 9am, 10 am, 11 am, 1 pm, 3 pm, 7 pm
      • Self-scheduling & block scheduling are allowed if needs of the unit are met
      • Floor specific orientation includes security, ID badge processing, equipment training
      • Schedule not guaranteed until manager finalizes it
        • Unit Specific Information
        • No Fast Track in ER
        • Psych/Seclusion Rooms: Room 5 is their 'safe' room
        • Patients per day have been slower since COVID
        • Vents, Cpap, Bipap, & High Flow managed by RT
        • No floating policy
        • Typical ER patients, including CHF, COPD, DM, and a small percentage of pediatric patients
          • Additional Details
          • COVID-19 Vaccine Required: Full vaccination mandatory unless a valid Medical or Religious exemption is provided
          • Submissions must include an unexpired copy of the candidate's driver's license
          • Scrub Color: Navy Blue (Traveler must provide their own scrubs)
