What You've Accomplished
You have completed a BS in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or related Engineering degree. You may have also obtained an advanced degree in similar fields. You have worked in an engineering role for at least 7 years and are ready to join Framatome and help deliver clean, safe energy and advance nuclear technology.

• Provides technical support related to development and quantification of Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) models.

  This full-time role is about making an impact on people's lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a Principal Risk Informed Engineer in Lynchburg, VA (remote work will also be considered), you will be part of the proven team in the Installed Base Business Unit. Probabilistic Risk Assessment group analyzes components and systems in nuclear power plants to ensure their safe performance. The group uses statistical analysis and data to evaluate component failure rates and the impact on plant operation and safety. This work provides valuable insight for plants regarding the safety and economic impact of components and systems. Your work will include:
  
  • 
    
  • Provides technical support related to development of Probabilistic Risk Assessment models and Risk Informed applications.
    
  • Responsible for planning / conducting a complete task or portion of a larger project under the direction of more experienced staff.
    
  • Performs standard engineering work requiring application of established techniques and procedures to carry out tasks.
    
  • Provides input to technical proposals and engineering advice as needed.

    Your Total Rewards Package
    The range of base salary for the position is between $110,000 - $149,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
