Job Description:
Do you want to utilize your driving skills to help ensure that
local students arrive to school in a safe manner? Do you want a
work schedule that provides you with summers and multiple holidays
off throughout the year? If you answered yes to both of these
questions, the Department of Public Transportation's School Bus
Driver position may be the right career for you!
The School Bus Driver is a full-time position with benefits and a
preferred starting hourly rate of $18.96 per hour. Paid on-the-job
training will be provided for candidates without a CDL and/or prior
experience.
The position is required to work 10-months out of the year and will
be paid for the work hours over a 12-month period, allowing
benefits to continue during the summer break. The ideal candidate
must be available for a minimum of 5 hours per day/180 days per
year with additional hours potentially available throughout the
year within the same department.
