program.Position SummaryIn an outpatient orthopedic setting the
Physical Therapist will provide evaluation and treatment services
to a variety of patients in accordance with the physician referral
and Plan of Care. The Physical Therapist will direct patient
participation in activities and exercise programs to restore,
reinforce and enhance performance while performing exceptional
patient care. The Physical Therapist will provide patient education
and set expectations for progression of treatment. As part of a
collaborative approach to patient care the Physical Therapist will
work closely with physicians and other health care team members. We
provide several programs including a new graduate mentoring
program, an APTA accredited residency program, and Sports

401k.Primary Functions and AccountabilitiesPerforms detailed
evaluations with patients to learn about their physical condition
and symptomsDiagnoses movement dysfunction and other deficits to
develop a treatment planCommunicates effectively with patients
regarding expectations of treatment and achievement of patient
goalsUtilizes knowledge of patient's diagnosis, signs, and symptoms
and results of diagnostic studies to determine the patient's level
of functionInterprets and organizes evaluation and assessment
dataSets priorities and establishes realistic short term and
long-term goals and outcomesMaintains patient records and documents
goals and progress in a timely mannerInstructs patients in how to
properly perform therapeutic exercise techniquesGuides patients
appropriately through post-surgical protocolsCoordinates patient
care with Physical Therapist Assistants and/or therapy
techniciansSchedules patients effectively for productive time
utilizationDocuments and maintains a plan of care for each patient
that include specific therapy orders in coordination with the
medical plan of careCommunicates effectively with the physician
teamsCommunicates effectively and in a timely manner with front
office, call center and billing staff when requestedKnowledge,
Skills, and AbilitiesStrong written and verbal communication
skillsAbility to provide instructions clearly with close attention
to detailMust be able to collaborate with other patient care team
membersDemonstrate compassion and encouragement to patients
experiencing pain and frustrationMaintain a positive and motivating
outlook with patientsAble to remain flexible, adaptable, and calm
in unexpected situationsAble to exercise sound judgment in
stressful situationsPosition RequirementsBS, MS, or DPT in Physical
Therapy from an accredited schoolOrthopedic experience
preferredCurrent Physical Therapy license and CPR required
